    What scents are masculine? Gender-neutral?

I find The Arabian Dance (Yule '11) entirely gender-neutral, in a very sexy way. "Leather, coffee, hazelnut, tobacco, and Middle Eastern spices."

This is definitely a scent that benefits from a bit of aging. New: I remember opening the imp and swooning. It smelled like spicy, musky, warm divinity. Unfortunately, on my skin it captured the inspiration for the blend far too literally. The spices were still present, but they were overwhelmed by the smell of dusty, musky fur. My brother summed it up perfectly: "You smell like the dog. Good, but...literally...like the dog. I'm confused." Aged 1 year: This is much better. There hasn't been any magical morphing; it smells the same as it ever did in the vial, but the combination of scents are far better balanced when they hit my skin. It's still a musky blend, but now it's sweeter and richer and smells more like my beloved amber than dog fur. The spices are very well blended. They're incredibly rich and yummy without being overly foody. Wearing this, I feel warm and sensual and comforted. It makes me want to stretch and curl up in the sun. Beth's really captured a lion in a bottle, here. I think I'm going to need a 5ml of this, though I'll stash it in a dark drawer for a year or so before using it.

    Where is this scent?

Someone help me out here? What's this 'TKO' everyone seems to be talking about? The search function doesn't work on three letter words.

I don't know if this has been brought up yet, but Hay Moon comes across as very cologne-y on me. Almost like a much nicer, earthier, tiny bit creamier and less alcoholic Obsession for Men. If I were a man I'd wear the heck out of it.

How to remove scents from your skin

Vinegar. No smell survives vinegar. Dilute some in a glass of water (2 or 3 tablespoons should do it), wet some paper towels with the mixture and scrub wherever the scent is. Let it dry, then rinse off and towel dry the area if it smells faintly vinegar-y. Works for me every time.

My first review. *hides* Wet - This is super juicy in the imp and on me. More like sweet, over-ripe, sun drenched red berries than merlot. I like it! I was a bit worried about smelling of wine, but this isn't boozy at all on me. The only other scent I'm picking up here is a lovely base of rose. No leather, musk, violet or myrtle to speak of. Drying - All I can think is "Persephone's grown up sister!". There is a little musk coming into play now, and overall it's a more complex, mature scent than Persephone, but I find them very similar. It's still juicy red fruit with an undercurrent of musky rose to me. Dry - This is lovely. Fruity but mature, rosy but not at all old-ladyish or cloying. Sadly though, I've still not detected any leather, and that's the note I was counting on to give this blend depth. It's a very pretty scent, but not evocative of a naughty, beautiful dominatrix at all to me. After some time - My skin seems to drink this blend up. The fact that I have a cold isn't helping things, but I only applied this two hours ago and it's dried away to nothing but a hint of generic 'perfume' florals that sit close to my skin. I'm going to reapply now, and I'll probably manage to use up the imp, but this isn't a big bottle purchase for me.
