I typically like warm, sweet, comforting, sensual-type scents. They can be unisex, feminine or masculine-type. My top favorite notes are: musks, warm spicy scents, leather, vanilla and sweet soft florals. I also go through scent phases and sometimes can get very into certain notes.
I'm usually not into tart/overly fruity citrusy scents, fruit and patchouli combos, dragon's blood, maple syrup/brown sugar/molasses, eucalyptus, lemongrass, vetiver, grapefruit, mahogany (headache) anything too sharp, too rich or heady.

Just a few of my favorite notes:

Leather
Florals (usually light and or creamy sweet florals, I love white and pink rose, heliotrope, sweet pea, some lilies)
Cream (love bpal's cream accord)
Cotton Candy
Tropical flowers, some fruits
Musks (nearly all of them except for skin and blue which tend to end up high-pitched on me)
