(That's the art movement, not stuff made with popsicle sticks and glue. *grin*) Iceland, and the Republic of New Iceland. (No, really. In what is now Manitoba. Check it out.) Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay, North Yorkshire, England -- especially historical stuff. The Studio magazine. (The old one, not the modern zine.) Tarot decks. Runes. Music with haunting harmonies. Natural dyes, hand-spinning and weaving. Museums. Sushi. Visionary art. Anything to do with the year 1881. (I'm a writer, and working on something set in that year.) The work of Lucius Beebe, and postcards or photos of him. Elves and faeries and their lore. Fantasy and science fiction. Gardening. Art and rubber stamps. (In the great cute versus cool divide, I'm way over on the cool side; I'm mostly allergic to cute. Exceptions are made for Sanrio stuff, though, because hey, Sanrio, you know? Especially Marron Cream.)

Favorite Scents:: Love: Smut! Smut Smut Smut! O, Midnight Mass, Skadi, Tombstone, Spanked, Buck Moon, Coyote, and Jacob's Ladder. Love sassafras, incense, resin.

Recent happy discoveries: Count Dracula. And Spanked turns out to work really well on me, which I didn't think at first. (Swapped some away, and now I'm in search of some. Silly lioness.)

Don't want: Eucalyptus. Mint that's cold -- though I love spearmint. Tea tree. Almost all roses. Most florals, alas, especially violet. (Run away!) "Girly perfumey" scents - I don't live up to them.

Want: Things the wicked queen or the faery of geology would wear on their days off. Amber sweetgrass goodness. Mystery, wonder, power and artisanship. Strong arms and good laughs, good company, good surprises and a sense of perspective.
