Spectral Courtesan Hair Gloss

Recommended Posts

Raw patchouli, oakmoss, cassis bud, bergamot, and blackcurrant.

Smokey, earthy goodness. The oakmoss tethers everything together, I think, and makes it entirely coherent. I slathered this all over my arms as well as my hair in hopes this would last all day on me—and it did. This is a beautiful, beautiful scent, and not my usual fragrance profile. I need about a dozen bottles of this.

Spectral Courtesan hair gloss is an oakmoss-heavy scent on me, which surprised me a bit. I get a ton of oakmoss, then patchouli, and then very subtle notes of cassis, bergamot, and blackcurrant trailing. The oakmoss and patchouli are a combo I like, as I love patch and oakmoss smells like a mix of moss, vague aquatics, and water damage on books to me (swoon). So this is definitely within my ambit. I would recommend this to people that love patchouli and oakmoss, as I think this features those notes to great effect.

Oakmoss, patchouli and some blackcurrant and cassis in there. It's an odd patchouli blend for me, the oakmoss bringing an aquatic lightness that I don't typically associate with patchouli. This codes almost 'masculine' to my nose. It's like a patchouli chypre to me.

Sniffing in the bottle this is so different from what I expected- but in a good way. I get that raw patchouli and oakmoss up front very green and forest-y and my brain instantly went "Christmas!" but there is just something evergreen about this in the bottle. I agree with zankoku_zen that (once on) there is a lightness and it smells like a bit like a fancy aquatic cologne. I can't pick out the other notes specifically but the whole package is really beautiful. It's been forever since I smelled Elf but my brain is making an association, it's a really ethereal and elegant forest-y scent.
