Sweet cream vanilla, white sugar, jasmine blossom, and a drop of star anise.

I'm usually not a fan of florals, but this is amazing. It was sharp while wet when I first got the bottle, then dried down into beautiful creamy jasmine. Now that the bottle has rested a bit, I don't get the wet sharpness stage. Just amazing, wonderful sweet and creamy jasmine. It has a decent throw and lasts all day on my skin. I'm so glad I bought it and a back up bottle. :wub3: This is a new favorite.

This is a blast of jasmine in the first hour. Then it calms down to a dry sweetness with a hint of fresh jasmine.

I was expecting it to be sweeter (especially as I amp sugar and, sometimes, cream). Instead, it's dry, light, and fresh. It's very pleasant and great for spring.

Of all the Lupers I blind-bottled, this was the one I was most looking forward to. The 'drop of star anise' gave me pause initially, but seeing as I have a thing for jasmine, the thoughts of a sweet, creamy jasmine scent was too tempting to pass up on.

In the bottle, ahhhhh it's beautiful! Jasmine heavy, yes, not a problem for a jasmine lover like me, but this jasmine is so soft I think even those that are afraid of the 'cat-pee' aspect that I personally have never experienced might be able to appreciate this. It's like jasmine scented cupcake frosting, super sweet and super creamy. I could weep tears of actual joy!

Once on my skin, more beautifully creamy jasmine, but the so-called 'drop' of star anise is stomping all over it. This is a problem for me, and exactly the thing that I feared, as anise/licorice of any kind tends to turn my stomach when it is strong. And for a little drop, this is STRONG. It's upsetting for about 5 minutes, and then miraculously, the anise backs allllll the way up and disappears. And I'm left with exactly what I dreamed of, a gorgeous, sweet creamy jasmine. Is it worth tolerating the nauseating first 5 mins?? Completely. It's perfect and heavenly and I am kicking myself for not getting a back-up. As with most jasmine blends, throw and staying power are both crazy strong. LOVE.

ETA: Looking back at my review that I wrote when I really should've been asleep, I'm not sure that I mentioned the fact that this jasmine is sweet and creamy enough, so: this jasmine is sweet. And it is also creamy. /sarcasm.

I've only tried one other jasmine scent from the lab, and that one was technically jasmine tea, so I was a bit nervous that it would be too sharp and screechy, as I've experienced with some commercial jasmine notes.

In the vial I get mostly a floral vanilla, but once it hits the skin, the jasmine comes firmly to the front. The vanilla background makes it somehow both fresh and creamy, and contrary to my fears it isn't sharp at all. After a few minutes it settles and becomes a little less fresh and a little more perfume-y. I was prepared for that when I signed up for something with jasmine in it, so I don't count it as a bad thing.

As time goes on the star anise sneaks in and makes the scent a little more interesting without interfering with the overall jasmine vibe, and on the drydown it becomes much more of the jasmine vanilla buttercream that others have described.

Overall it's sweet and not as heady as jasmine can sometimes be, probably because it wears pretty close to the skin on me. Lovely, but not necessarily an everyday scent for me due to the overt foodiness of the drydown.

I'm so thrilled I blind-bought this. I love sugared or creamy florals, and I adore jasmine, so this could really be my signature scent. It's very womanly, not girlish at all. Worldly and sophisticated. Anise gives the slightest touch of spicy sexiness. SO perfect, new #1 scent!!

So much goodness!

OK, this IS in the same family as Follow Me Boy, but it's more sophisticated & delicate, plus cream.

The vanilla cream seems exactly like the note from Volcano in Springtime. The jasmine reminds me of the fresh headiness of jasmine in bloom. The star anise is low key on me.

100% my jam, total love.

Every once in a blue moon Jasmine works on me. I never know when, and it's one of those things where when it's good, it's really really good, and when it's bad it's horrid. I tried this because some of the reviews said it wasn't that jasmine-dominated, and I love the other notes, especially the star anise. Frankly, I'm not getting a lot of star anise here. But the jasmine is so beautiful.

I don't know why it's behaving on my skin, and I'm not even particularly a fan of florals, but it's so nice to have a chance to experience, oh, THIS is what jasmine is supposed to smell like. I'm getting lots of throw (always true of problematic notes; they don't just go wrong, they go wrong loudly). Gorgeous, creamy, sensual jasmine. I won't wear this one much and I definitely don't need a whole bottle, but I'm delighted to be able to feel the jasmine love once in a while.

This features the vanilla cream from Love's Philosophy, which is a french vanilla cream, for those familiar with the Lab's French Vanilla SN. It's infused with some jasmine and a bit of anise. Both are more behaved than they usually are on me, so this is still worth a try if those notes are iffy for you. But I know I prefer this vanilla with the saffron of Love's Philosophy, so I'm letting go of my decant. I am glad I got to try it, though. :)
