BPAL Madness!

Goat BPAL? Hay and goats?

Recommended Posts

Ok. So I'm the crazy goat lady, I have miniature (Nigerian dwarf) all black triplet girls. And for those who are wondering the DO dance in the fire, not kidding they love to dance in the burn pile WHILE it's burning, demons they are! They do a worship dance to beelzebub... still love em though.. my antichrist creatures of the night...

I love the smell of goat. Not male goat because that's so gross "I can't even". I can't really describe the smell.. but those of you who have been around horses will know what I'm talking about.

I recently got Stekkjarstaur because it's said it was all about harassing sheep.. sheep..goat close enough!

I'm also thinking about getting this years Yule SN Manger hay? Or something like that. But I haven't seen many reviews yet and I'm hesitant to buy a whole bottle bc I know if I don't like it it will be hard to sell.

I'm looking for LE or GC recommendations that have to do with goats even if they don't smell like it, but like the theme of goats. I have an imo of Shub Niggurath.. which is Black goat themed!

Also ones that smell like a barn. Love barn smell.

Can't really help, but there was one review for the Manger Hay....seems to read pure "barn"...so it might be exactly what you are looking for. :) Might make a good layering note as well.

Black Bear Moon that came out a while ago had a nice fur note to it.... to my nose, so that might be something also? Good luck in your search!!!

Have you tried My Baby and a Baby Goat?

There are many scents with goat milk notes, including Adrastea, Depart Pour Le Sabbat,

Sweet Lavinia's Risalamande, Nonae Caprotina, Candles Moon, etc.

NEED! I be thinking it's hard to find though... one of my fav GC is Dana O Shea and it sounds similar!

Depart Pour Le Sabbat is one of my favorites, which I fondly refer to as my "graham cracker-goat sex" scent. That's b/c it's slightly foody, slightly goaty, and very sexy. I did not like SN Manger Hay at all. I found it very brown, dry, and vaguely cinnamon. If it's got goatiness to it, it's not the one found in Depart Pour. You might also like civet, which is a musk derived from a type of cat. (BPAL's is synthetic) The note is very animalic and is in a few of the GC scents, so you could try it in imp form.

I saw that one when's I searched "goat" here on the forms. Sounds like one I I'm going to defiantly need to try! Is it pretty rare? Im really sad that My baby and a baby goat is so rare, all I can find is decants

I'm not really sure if it's rare or not. It was from 2015's Weenies, so I would suspect it's still around, but people like to hold on to things a while sometimes before they finally decide to swap them. You can do searches on sales/swaps pages and just keep an eye out. Pognophobia actually reminds me of Depart Pour a little, with a similar muskiness and honey note, but it's much more masculine, less sweet and doesn't officially list any goat notes. I'd actually be curious to know if anyone else thought it smelled a bit "goaty."

Hello crazy goat lady! I am slightly unbalanced goat lady, so good to meet you! I am in a goat milk co-op, so I don't have my very own goats. Yet.

I think the suggestions for goat perfumes have been spot on so far. You also asked for barn scents, and I recommend Eastern Comma, a dried tobacco and wood and oranges scent. Not hay, but it evokes a storage barn in late summer to me.

I've also seen some chatter about the Mother Shub perfumes from a few years back.

I love goats. I love goats. I love goats. You will be so happy when you have your own! I have Nigerian dwarfs so they are really small, mine are about 45lbs and they are full grown (1year old). And they are triples and black. If you've see the movie The Witch? They are the same breed as Black Philip, exceptBlack Philip is like way bigger since he is a intact male.

I've seen the Mother Shubs one that has goat cheese in it, I'm going to find an imp for that! I'll try Eastern Comma also, I love barn smells! It brings back such good memories! My mom hates it, weird how scents are sooo subjective!

Nonae Caprotina has a strong goat's milk note, and also celebrates the festival of a fertility goddess to whom goats were sacred.

It doesn't smell like goats, but Piper At The Gates of Dawn came to mind, because it was inspired by the great god Pan, who is of course half goat.

I found it to be a beautiful, outdoorsy, bright, clean, and fresh scent.

Anyway, that's all I've got for suggestions. Huzzah for the crazy goat lady!

Alas, I have no goats of my own, but back in my 4H days I assisted the leader of the local goat club. Very important job, obviously ("here kid, stand here and hold this goat while I lecture about goats")

It was pretty great, though. Goats are very amusing. I love watching them climb on things. They always want to be up in a tree or something and they make cats look like amateurs.

It's an old LE, but you might enjoy Gunpowder: Carrot peelings, hay, chaff, molasses, maple oats, red apples, stable wood, and musk. Also Hay Moon. I haven't yet tried Community Church Manger Hay. I am still searching for my perfect horse stable scent!

One of my goats is named Pan! Pan, Mary Jane and Bitzy. Pan is my favorite she is the biggest one but is so sweet and loving! I'm going to gave to try that one!

They climb on everything! I wish I could post pictures or link videos I have, they are so cute when they climb! (Even when the jump on the roof of my truck!)

Someone saw this post and PMed me that they would sell me their bottle of My baby and a Baby goat. I'm hoping that will be great!

Hey, I'm another goat lady. I have 4 Nigerian Dwarf goats, all black and white. 3 wethers and a tiny doe. YAY GOATS!

Unicorn and Ram is kind of warm and ruminant-y, if you can get your hooves on it.

Goats are awesome! Another beautiful goat milk scent is Maiko with Hair Unbound from last year's Lupers. Goats milk, coconut, rice milk, honey carnation, and sugar.
