Creeper Dragon

Creeper Dragon Musk: daemonorops, green leather, and red musk with dribbles of honey and white cream.

I have more recently discovered my love for mid-range musks, and I've really liked everything I've tried with dragon's blood, so this sounded right up my alley. :)

Wet, it's mostly musk, and slightly sweet, with a hint of something green. It feels more like some kind of fresh, light foliage though, rather than leather. The dragon's blood is like an after-sniff, sharp in my nose as the other scents fade.

Dry, the sharpness dies out a little, to leave something slightly sweeter than before, but mellowed out by the musk, which has also died down a little. Something now smells ever-so-slightly reminiscent of some kind of breakfast porridge, somehow.

Yup, don't ask me why, but somehow, I guess the cream and honey notes remind me of when my mother used to make Cream of Wheat or sweet grits for breakfast.

Ideally, I'd like this to be a little stronger. It doesn't seem to have much throw, and it seems to fade pretty quickly.
But all in all, I love it! :D It's an invigorating smell, but also soothing and grounding. :)

Wet: I get red musk and dragon's blood (daemonorops) warring for dominance. Hints of honey. Was hoping for more of the cream, honey and red musk, but I think DB is going to win here.

Dry: Wow, this settles beautifully. The leather comes out, and the musk and DB merge together. It's sweet and a little creamy. Lovely. Feminine and pretty. I have a hard time finding leather scents I really love, and this is one, so seriously debating finding a bottle of it. Smelling it makes me happy.

I tried this back in 2015 but neglected to post my review here!

In the decant: Red musk and dragon's blood like whoa. But the red musk is far more prominent.

Wet: Exactly that and nothing else at first. Then, I end up getting a bit of the honey note.

Dry: Red musk and dragon's blood still dominate. The honey and cream are present, but just a dribble, like it says in the scent description. The green leather has also emerged, but you have to sniff the scent really close to the skin in order to smell it.

Verdict: I had to try this one because of the name, but the red musk is far too strong for me.

I was hoping Creeper Dragon would be daemondrops & leather heavy on me (just a wish, seeing the other light-on-leather reviews), but I must be the odd one that is getting primarily honey! A musky honey, for sure. Aged red musk isn’t too exciting to me, unless it’s supporting other stronger notes. The tangy honey the lab loves to use. The cream peaks out in the drydown, and, strangely, I get the porridge analogy @AirimirOfGondor mentions....   It’s a sensual porridge, with the muskiness. Bahaha
I’m gonna have to try this on my partner and see if he likes it, but overall I like my red musk scents darker and my leather to be obvious :P

Creeper Dragon is made of all things good.  The dragon's blood and red musk form a sweet, red, resinous glow and warmth that I just love (like a resinous cherry scent), the leather smells like a snuggly, soft, black leather jacket, and the honeyed vanilla cream is strong and beautiful.  A grown up Dragon's Milk scent.  In fact, if you told me that this was Dragon's Milk with a little leather and red musk mixed in, I probably wouldn't argue too hard.  Amazing throw and lasts all day on me.
