Cerruti 1881 for women

My former work colleague wore this and I always loved the way she smelled - soft, feminine but with a vaguely woody and sexy undertone. I'd love to find a BPAL that smells like that! Apparently the notes are as follows:

 

• Heart notes

  Jasmine

• Top notes

  Freesia

• Base notes

  Sandalwood

• Scent

  Floral

• Feel

  Feminine, Intimate, Understated

Anyone got any suggestions?!

Some of these may be what you are looking for. I tried my best

 

Butterflies, Flowers and Jewels Attending- An ethereal, iridescent, twilit scent, sparkling with mystery and innocent joy: white patchouli with provence rose, delicate freesia, pink tuberose, jasmine sambac, orange blossom, butterfly musk, vanilla orchid, and delicate spices.

 

The Flowers Cleave Apart- Honeyed jasmine, white neroli, red sandalwood, champaca, and raspberry wine.

 

Kubla Khan- Through sunlit caves of ice, roses unfurl amidst dancing waves of serpentine opium smoke and amber tobacco, golden sandalwood, champaca, tea leaf, sugared lily, ginger, rich hay absolute, leather, dark vanilla, mandarin, peru balsam, and Moroccan jasmine.

 

Vasilissa- Creamy skin musk and blushing pink musk with soft sandalwood, white amber, dutiful myrrh, and star jasmine.

Vasilissa's been on my wishlist for a while and looking at the notes again now I think that one could be a winner!

 

I've never heard of the other two but I'mma start hunting now

You are very welcome dearest. I actually could give you a few more suggestions if you would like

 

Jasmine Cottage- Camellia, jasmine, heather, orange blossom, osmanthus, wisteria, thyme, angelica, freesia, granny’s nightcap, and English wildflowers. (No sandalwood but the jasmine and freesia are absolutely beautiful in this one.)

 

Black Swallowtail- Licorice bark with freesia, jungle orchids, elemi, Bulgarian rose otto, and jasmine sambac. (the notes in here may be a little far stretch but I think the mix of freesia and jasmine with the rose would be quite beautiful. Check out the reviews of both of these.)

 

I would definitely give Vasilissa a shot. Imp that for sure because it is really creamy on the skin and softly feminine. I don't want to say it feels like a "skin" scent necessarily but it could definitely be close to one.

Licorice isn't my thing (and my husband would run a mile ) but Jasmine Cottage sounds intriguing!

 

I'll definitely check that out, and Vasilissa and Kubla Khan for sure, and I shall report back!
