Thirteen (13) Ad Lunam

A dreamlike, ethereal scent tinged by electric Mercurial energy and a weird shiver of foreboding: blue musk, white mallow, mugwort, and opium poppy with juniper root, grape leaf, white pear, lemon verbena, lavender-infused white amber, Russian sage, and sweetgum.

Oh, first review! I shall endeavor to do it justice!

Now, granted, there are a lot of notes in this that I'm not sure I can identify. I'm definitely getting a mixture of a strong lemon verbena, a dash of pear, ever-so-slightly lavender-infused amber and a sprig of sage. But the scent is rather complex, and part of that complexity I gather is due to the many notes used, even though some of them are ones I don't know myself. Maybe there is a little bit of grape leaf, as well...
The musk gives the scent an ethereal overtone that plays well with the fresh notes.

Overall, it's a summer fresh, slightly herbal blend that's definitely citrus dominant (lemon verbena), and the "electric Mercurial energy" from the description suits it well.
I wear it whenever I need to feel upbeat and ready for a day in the summer heat!

I would say that if you love any of the notes listed, you will likely love 12 Ad Lunam.

13 ad Lunam was interesting. It was a watery lavender, musk, sage and poppy blend. It was odd, dreamy, and a little fizzy at times.

 

In a lot of ways, it sort of put me in mind to other lunacy blends, in particular Blue Moon. It had a very dream/otherworldly character to it.

In the bottle: Creamy, lemony lavender. It’s like a delicious confection.

 

This becomes more crisp and less sweet as it dries: Primarily the lemon verbena and lavender, softened by the amber. It’s somehow both refreshing and cozy. I also think it would smell wonderful on a man. To me this is perfectly unisex.

 

There’s a lovely, though brief, stage a couple of hours after I apply when 13 Ad Lunam dries down to sweet, creamy white amber and musk. Then it disappears: “ethereal” is accurate here. So this will need refreshing during the day.

I think the other reviewers are pretty apt, there's freshness with the lemon verbena and the sage, but something pulls it a bit watery. I wanted to like it, but I think it's too complex and unisex for me to enjoy.

This is a watery spa type scent, very different from the sweet Thirteens (which I prefer). I definitely smell the tart lemon verbena, sharp and white floral opium poppy, and an herbal lavender, with a watery, cool, soothing blue musk rounding out the edges and smoothing the scent down.
