Gingerbread Poppet Bath Oil

Recommended Posts

GINGERBREAD POPPET
Warm, cozy gingerbread spiced with nutmeg, clove and cinnamon.

Note: I use the bath oils as an after-shower moisturizer, so have not tested this in the tub.

Gingerbread Poppet bath oil is just wonderful. It's a foody gingerbread, but the spices are milder than I'd expected, which is actually a good thing and makes it more wearable. Although it's not listed in the notes, I detect a sweet note that is very similar to the marshmallow in Marshmallow Pumpkin bath oil. In fact, on my skin, this smells like a slice of gingerbread cake with a dollop of whipped cream on top. Love it, and definitely ordering a backup bottle since we can never predict if a seasonal scent will ever return. Now I really wish that the companion perfume had returned this year, so I could order a bottle to wear with it.

Definitely going to need a backup of this. Quite stunning, and the perfect mix of gingerbread spices and cookie dough. For comparison, take any one of the Gingerbread Poppets from years past, but imagine it not quite as spice heavy as it can get in some cases, and you have this. MINE.

Oh yum! This is very similar to Gingerbread Poppet perfume - gingerbread cookie dough - but less spicy. I used this as a bath oil and had no spice-related irritation. Its got moderate throw in the bath and the scent lingered even after I drained the tub. Gingerbread Poppet is one of my favourite Yules, so I will most definitely need a full sized bottle of this to go with it. :yum:

So, so good! I agree with the previous reviewers, there's something that's a little creamy about this. I have the world's most reactive skin when it comes to cinnamon, cardamom, pepper. etc. in my BPAL, but after using this as an after-shower moisturizer successfully, I tried it in a hot bath and had no skin issues at all. This is a really delicious, spicy foodie scent and I found it layers really well with Sugar Cookie perfume (I don't have Gingerbread Poppet perfume, but I can imagine that you could really up the oomph-y gingerbready goodness with that!)

I am into bpal since about a year and so i havent got a chance to try the GP perfume oil but i LOVE this bathoil!

i am using it as after shower moisturizer and it smells like gingerbread on me. i have a very, VERY sensitive skin and it doesnt irritate my skin at all.

This one layers perfectly with my 2 favorite perfumes of all time, Snake oil and The invasion of the flesheating reindeer from uranus.

I just have a decant at the moment but i will update it to a full bottle for sure!

This smells exactly like the Gingerbread Poppet perfume to me. A gingerbread scent with subtle spiciness in the background. It is lovely and matches well with the perfume. Whenever I put this on, I can't help thinking of Christmas and a warm kitchen full of Christmastime baked goods on a cold winter day.

I love this. I love foody, gourmand blends and this is one of my favourites when it comes to Yules. It's sweet, warm, comforting and is spicy without being overwhelming. It compliments the perfume perfectly and has definitely become a go-to for me since the weather got colder outside.

I think I would love this if it was just a tiny bit sweeter...I love to eat gingerbread cookies, and this smells just like they taste, but I guess I don't enjoy smelling like them! Oh well...

I finally got around to trying this--my daughter's been hogging the bottle! Gingerbread Poppet Bath Oil smells like Gingerbread Poppet, obviously, but without comparing the two side-by-side, I do think the bath oil is a little smoother/sweeter than the perfume. Love this. :wub2:

Awww, I think I like Gingerbread Poppet better as a bath oil than as a perfume. It's a little softer, and a little cuddlier and doesn't quite have the throw that the perfume does. So you get ginger, spices and just enough chewiness for it to be comforting. I don't typically like straight up foodie blends, so I'm surprised at how much I enjoy the bath oil.
