BPAL Madness!

Horn of Plenty

Recommended Posts

Today I tested this scent while I went for a walk in the surprisingly chill air (for May in Texas), which really emphasized what a "warm" scent this is, very golden. I get almond like a lot of others, and it does get powderier the drier it gets which reminds me of amber. I would have selected this on my own, but I got it as a frimpie with a blind bottle purchase. It's one of those where I have a feeling while I am still a little unsure about it, I can imagine returning to it again for that warmth.

I received this as a frimp. In the vial, it's almond, cherry vanilla goodness.

Wet on my skin, it is driving me insane. There is something here that is SO familiar, but I can't put my finger on it, maybe like a toy from childhood, or something like that. The cherry is even stronger, as is the vanilla. I think I'm getting amber and for a hot minute something very green and sappy. That doesn't last for long.

After drying, this is so nice on my skin. Cherry almond. The vanilla is the creamy vanilla from Golden Priapus. It stays very sweet. It's a comforting skin scent that makes me want to hug myself. In staying at home, I'm not out trying to make money, so I can't really say how effective it will be for that. It does make me feel good. I may have to do a bottle of this.

In the imp: I hate trying to review anything without listed notes anyway, since there's always that marginal chance it will include cinnamon, but I'm beginning to hate it more because there's always something I know and can't place. This is the bubblegum smell of lotus, the slick ozone of gasoline flower, one of the super white florals that doesn't turn to powder on me (which is a short list but do you think I can pick which of them?), almond, and quite possibly vanilla.

Wet: Sugared vanilla, I'm almost sure of that, alongside almond (and very happily, no welts on my skin, so definitely no cinnamon!)

Dry: A warm, incredibly comforting scent, with a strong amber floral profile. I still can't pick the floral; my closest contenders are plumeria or stephanotis.

Average lifespan with medium throw, lovely for a rainy day.

Stars: ★★★★
