Wulric, the Wolfman (2006)

Recommended Posts

Friendly, charming, and cuddly, but possessing one hell of a mean streak: cocoa absolute, French vanilla, birch tar, lavender, bourbon vetiver, wild musk, clary sage, and cistus.

So glad I finally got to try this :joy: I've recently fallen in love with the labs chocolate notes.

In the bottle and wet this is super sharp lavender....I was super scared at first cause lavender and I don't always get along.

And then....

It changes into gorgeous chocolate! Ok it's more then chocolate but I'm not sure what other notes are coming out...vanilla and musks maybe. Whatever it is its sexy as hell!! And very cuddly. Ooooh Wolfie!! :wub2:

Wulric makes me want to snuggle up! He is warm, sensual, and much less threatening then one would envision him to be.

I kind of picture the Beast from Beauty and the Beast when I think of this oil...

He is more bark then bite, that is for sure! And very unisex. I don't get anything strongly masculine or feminine about the scent.

When I applied and rubbed the oil into my skin the Lavender came straight out and said hello! Thankfully I am fond of Lavender and it is lovely in this.

Wulric softens fairly quickly and lingers nicely on my skin.

I am glad I found a cocoa scent that works for me. I have been wanting one but did not want something that was solely chocolate. It's unique! I love to put it on after a nice relaxing bath or shower before bed.

Woah vanilla! :thud: I'm definitely getting the birch tar but also a hint of cocoa, a heap of vanilla and some lavender. Starts out foody and outdoorsy and ends up with loads of vanilla and lavender with an added bite of the sage. I like the initial clash of sweet vanilla with the sharp birch tar and lavender, the drydown is nice and snuggly. Once dry it also reminds me a lot of the Anti-Saloon League.

I find it well blended and not at all masculine. For me the cocoa could have been left out as the foody-ness kind of it clashes with the rest, thankfully it fades quickly (the cocoa, not the blend  ). Wulric the Wolfman sticks around all day and has great throw.

Bought this from another forum member. Wet: chocolate!! But the good gourmet kind. Dry: vanilla lavender with chocolate, like a really decadent chocolate bar. This is tko with chocolate. Love it!! Now I must try other chocolate bpal scents.

To this day, I enjoy this scent SO much. After a rough day, or the dreading of a day (I wore it a lot while in school before exams!) this scent does wonders. If you are comforted by chocolate bonbons and a lavender pillow before bed, give this a try. At times I find this scent to be unisex, but I prefer it on myself vs the husband. The lavender and vanilla mix is soothing and oh so comforting.... I have to agree with the previous poster re: if you love TKO you will adore this. Just thinking about Wulric makes me want to reach for my bottle!

smells a lot like TKO + chocolate! the vetiver and birch are present but are background players. this is a very gentle scent and if you are afraid of anything except the lavender and choc, give it a try anyway.

I was frimped this by the wonderful Alainn. It's so cuddly! On wet there was the immediate scents of lavender and chocolate. Sharp lavender mixed with mellow chocolate - strange, but okay. As it began to dry, the vetiver came out and entered into the fray. Now that it has fully dried, I'm getting soft and mellow (almost powdery) vanilla with hints of the lavender, cocoa, and vetiver. Yummy!

This is a beautiful herbal cocoa with fuzzy soft animal fur- it's very true that it is a snuggly, velvety scent. Cocoa is a very polarized scent to my nostrils- I either love or hate it depending on how it is used. It's very rich and soft and not at all "tootsie roll" like, which is when cocoa notes become troublesome for me.

Smells like cocoa powder paste, nothing at all cloying or artificial. Little flecks of cocoa in the oil, but NOT dark brown and stain-inducing like some cocoa containing scents can be. I will treasure the half bottle I was able to grab of this.
